Account

Print the signed-in Claude account from the command line

bpsai-pair account tells you which Claude account this machine is signed in to. It is useful when you run several sessions and need to confirm which account each one is using.

Checking the signed-in account

By default the command reads the Claude Code configuration directory named by CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR, or ~/.claude when that variable is not set.

bash
bpsai-pair account whoami

Options

FlagRequiredDescription
--config-dirNoClaude Code configuration directory to read (default: $CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR or ~/.claude)

To check a second account's configuration directory:

bash
bpsai-pair account whoami --config-dir ~/.claude-work
When it fails

The command exits with code 2 if the account cannot be resolved: the Claude Code configuration file is missing or unreadable, contains invalid JSON, or has no signed-in account. Sign in with Claude Code first, then run it again.

In 3.0, dispatching work to a separate Claude session also checks this identity and refuses a configuration directory that belongs to the same account as the one dispatching.
